FALL CHOCOLATE CHIP BANANA BREAD - GUILT FREE

Updated: Aug 26, 2021

It's almost Fall - which means more the reason to try one of my ALL time favorite recipes....

I absolutely love trying and creating new recipes. One day I was looking for some new healthy recipes on Pinterest and didn't have a few ingredients needed, SO naturally I start replacing things and WALLAH! I create the most moist (ew), delicious, guilt-free breakfast/snack/dessert. Whatever you want to call it....

Don't worry, this won't take too long... :) I am in love with this recipe, and make it almost every week! It is SO easy and you could do it all in just one bowl. I have tried making it gluten free, and it definitely is still delicious! I recommend not cooking it as long if you do. Hope you enjoy...

What You Need:

  • 3 ripe bananas

  • 1 1/2 cups of flour OR gluten free flour

  • 1 cup cane sugar

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 4 tbsp butter OR vegan butter

  • 1 plain Chobani Greek yogurt (150g) 0% milkfat

  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips

Procedure:

1. First things first, preheat your oven to 350 F.

2. Grab a small bowl to mash up the bananas. I like to microwave the butter and bananas together, then mash.

3. Take a large bowl, add in dry ingredients; flour, baking soda, salt, and sugar. Now, add in your bananas, butter, and greek yogurt. (Note: if you're using a different brand of Greek yogurt, like Fage, you may not need to cook as long). Mix all together! Add in about 1/2 cup of chocolate chips.

4. Spray a basic loaf pan, add in mix! Should fill up around half of the pan. Add the rest of the chocolate chips on top. Cook for 40-45 minutes. I like mine moist and soft so I usually do around 40-42 :)

Once the timer goes off, let it sit in the pan until cool. Serve warm or cold! (ugh I'm drooling just typing this)

xoxo
